From a Free Laptop to My First Website: The Story Behind JamBun
Hello, my friends!
I created this site only for fun, so please do not take it seriously. Here is the story behind it.
Since I was a child, I have been interested in technology. I love animation and programming. In the 6th standard, I received a free laptop from the government, and that is where my learning journey began.
I started with animation. I learned Blender thoroughly and also some Adobe products. But my laptop did not have the specs for intensive animation work, so I moved into programming.
At first, I learned HTML from YouTube. I watched one-hour videos, but the content was not organized. Then I found W3Schools, where I could learn for free in an organized way. I studied there out of my own interest, and slowly I built some programming knowledge.
During my school holidays, I worked part-time as a tea boy at a franchise tea shop. With my first salary, I bought a full-stack web development course on Udemy and learned from it.
Now I am studying engineering. I was thinking of ideas to explore my skills, and I wanted to build something that everyone can use, because I was still doing only local development. Around that time, a friend forwarded me a message game on Instagram where you put a note with a dare. That gave me the spark to merge an Instagram dare game with a quiz. Little by little, I built the logic and started designing. I made a sketch and worked on it for two weeks, and this site is the result.
Whether this website earns me a profit or not, my mission is already a success. I will keep learning and upgrading myself day by day.
I am now going to officially release JamBun. My next project is a site to track my own life journey, and I am happy to share this journey with you.
Thank you, guys!
